Ok, well i finally deceided on a lower and upper...Now need help with barrel. My intentions are to build a light weight M4 style ar. I also like the pencil thin barrels...How much lighter is a pencil barrel, and who produces a good pencil barrel? Im looking for overall quality and accuracy...

Accuracy and pencil barrels only go together to a point. That is why most match guns have a bull barrel. However Bull does not go with light and handy (what I think your going 4 here). So, CMMG makes a new light weight profile bbl and Randall @ www.ar15barrels.com can make you what ever you want.

Colt

All I can think of right now.

Check out CMMG. They have a nice selection of pencial barrels. 14.5, 16in Also a Midlenth that I would love to have. And they are 1/7 and have std. M4 feed ramps. Top quality product. M/P tested and crome lined std.

If you're not against a middy, check out http://www.globaltactical.com/axami/shop.php?grd=199  it's one of Denny's barrels, cannot beat the quality, I wish I wasn't dead set on keeping my Surefire M500A tactical light, I would buy one of his barrels in a heartbeat.

pkfirearms sells a BM 16" lightweight bbl but it's 1/9 twist and does not have the m4 cuts in the extension which won't matter unless you have an upper receiver w/ the m4 feed ramps

I think I am going with the Les Baer Matched Set for upper and lower, and I dont believe they have M4 feed ramps...Just sent them a email asking them...I was origianally going to go with the bushmaster barrel, but was trying to support the little guy first..Plus I heard nothing but great things about CMMG...
