I'm going to start my new m4 rifle next month. I've been reading almost every thread on this site for a couple months now, but i was wondering what advice anyone would care to share. Im in the military so i have a good working knowledge on AR type rifles, and i also work part-time with a gunsmith so getting any parts will not be a problem. But since this is my first build i dont really know what products are better and more durable. Alot of the threads i went through had shown that alot of the members in this forum are very experienced and know the good from the bad, so to speak. So if anyone is willing to throw a few pointers or warnings feel free. like i said i work with a gunsmith so i'll be able to get the parts a little cheaper so im now really worried about price to much or hard to find parts.

Thanks

Pay attention to how certain companies stake their key bolts for the gas tube/bolt carrier.  Mine's a Stag and they don't stake them well.  My bolts loosened causing all sorts of problems.his

But I've got the bug!
