Recently I put together a RRA Lower with their 6 position stock and their parts kit.  Everything went together great.  Only thing that I have a question about is that the bolt carrier seems very gritty (sounding not feeling), even after lubing it.  My Colt and Bushmaster both are much smoother.  Just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on what it could be.  Fuctionally it doesn't affect anything it just doesn't feel good.

are you sure it's not the charging handle? My charging handle made raspy sounds until I lubed it and worked it a bunch.

The RRA receiver extension doesn't have the dry lube inside it.  It'll smooth out with time.

What dry lube?  Something I can add?

Thanks

Uppers and receiver extensions from tier 1 companies have a dry film lube on the inside.  That's part of the reason you shouldn't use brake cleaner or gunscrubber on them because it strips away this film.

I don't think it's worth trying to apply yourself.  Just keep it lubed and shoot it till it smooths out.
