What has to be "fitted" when a company advertizes there complete upper and says in parenthesis that it has to be "fitted" to your lower?   I thought there are only 2 pins that snap in from upper to lower? What has to be fitted?

I assume they mean just stick i ton and push in the two pins like you said.  "Fitting" should be a bad sign... not mil-spec dimensions of the upper receiver?  Of course, maybe they're just idiots and used the wrong wording.

Could be that they know that some lowers require "fitting" at the rear pin to close.  My RRA needed a bit of fitting to work with std. uppers.  See the description at: Tight Lowers

I e-mailed Les Baer about there complete uppers. They said unless its going onto one of there own lowers it would need to be "fitted" to the aftermarket lower. Sent an e-mail asking what exactly that meant, got no answer.

Some places make their uppers a little oversize on the bottom so that you can remove just enough metal to give a tight fit to your lower.
