I've got a Troy 12" MFRS waiting for me at home to install on a Bushy M4gery (heading back from Iraq in about two weeks), and my question is:

Will I need to cut of the fore end cap or will the rail fit over it?

I plan on shaving the FSB, and of course, cutting off delta ring IOT complete the install...Troy's instructions from their web page don't state as to whether or not I need to cut of the cap.

THX

If the Troy MFRS rail is identical to the Samson MRFS-R rail, then you will not need to cut off the handguard cap.  There will be a hairline gap between the rail and cap when the rail is installed.

YMMV.  HTH.
