[ARCHIVED THREAD] - bolt catch roll pin problem

I installed my bolt catch roll pin tonight. As I got to the end of pushing it in the pin started to mushroom over. Is this pin out of spec? should I punch it out and put a new one in?

Try another roll pin. Make sure that the pin lines up with the opposite hole. The same thing happened to me with a DPMS LPK... But I've used 'em before. The pin was oversized and a replacement arrived soon enough.

Out-of-spec parts slip through, sometimes.

if it works fine, the hassle of getting out the old roll pin isn't worth it. if you HAVE to get it out, buy an appropriate punch from sears and grind down one side to prevent the puch from bending and breaking from the rib on the lower. i hope you read this in time.
