Hi just got a Sarco M16 kit and they sent the M16 safety/fire selector switch. Can I legally put this into my rifle since I dont have other full auto parts...is this OK?
Does anyone want to buy it?

I dont think, legally, you can.

Technically its not going to convert you're gun to automatic, but that's another thing.

Your're probably ok. To be safe, I would dremel off the bumpy bits first.

If you really want to know for sure, write a letter to the ATF. BSW

Technically, it should be legal.  It certainly is legal if you grind off the shoulder sticking up in the middle, that depresses the disconnector in full auto.

The problem that might arise is that the selector will still cycle to the full auto position; even though it will only be another semi position.  It could be difficult to explain to an eager beaver law type person that "it's only another semi auto position officer".

If that's not an issue for you, go for it.

sarco says this is legal since the lug was ground off in the middle. I was hoping they'd swap me out a 2-position one.

Well, the ones they sent me had not been ground off. So is it ground? If not give them Sh#t and send it back.
