I need advice on choosing a collaspible stock.  I am not new to the AR but this is my first build and I'm doing it for my Dad.  I'll be using a RRA 16in. mid-length upper with a Stag lower and wanted to use either a RRA or Stag 6-position stock.  What buffer or parts do I need.  Any help would be appreciated.

RRA (and other comercial brands)= non-milspec buffer tubes and stocks (they are a tad bigger in diameter than mil-spec)

Stag/CMT, Colt= mil-spec buffer tubes and stocks--they are tougher and constructed differently

i'd get the Stag....great value for a mil-spec and only a few bucks more than a comercial one

+1 to what ALPHAGHOST stated. As far as additional parts, none should be required if you order a complete stock set.

This was my first post and I appreciate the quick response and help.  I was leaning toward the Stag/CMT stock so that will be the one I buy.  Just wanted to make sure it comes with the correct buffer to function with the 16in. mid-length upper.

I'd snag it from www.globaltactical.com  it's like $75 shipped for a Stag M4 stock with standard buffer and spring, and you'll probably get it on monday, priority mail is a god send.

Thanks for the info about globaltatical.com.  I was having a hard time finding one online at a reasonable price.  I just placed one on order.  My wife told me that my RRA upper and lower parts kit  just showed up.  I can't wait to dive off into this build.
