I am debating weather to get a Lightweight CAR upper or a standard CAR upper for my wife's CAR-15.  She is only 107lbs but she worksout like me I have HBAR 20 inch and Middy HBAR but I am also 175.  Do not know what to get her but I am leaning towards lightweight.

I like my CAV-15 as well nice and light with a sabre defense upper according to CAV.  Mineis in OD green but my wife wants the good old retractiable stock.  I have looked at that Eagle upper 3 times today.

Finished my wifes the other day. Stag lower eagle arms 16'' light weight a4 upper and 6 position stock. She loves it and is able to handle the light weight barrel very easily. She was in an accident years ago and had neck and shoulder surgery.

A LW or M4 barrel should be fine for her.

the LW/cavarms combo is a super light rifle...BUT, it is also a little snappy to shoot.  the light weight of the rig makes the recoil a little more sharp, than an m4 barreled standard reciever rifle.

I would go with a lightweight chrome lined. Have one on my Cav lower and I really like it, nice-n-light

I got my Bushmaster lightweight Barrel kit from Mike @ CS gunworks for $205. That was a 1 1/2 years ago though the price may have gone up?
