So for the first time in my AR building days, I've lost a small part. I was quickly replacing a buttstock and sent the buffer retainer across the room.

I searched high and low for nearly an hour for a $.70 part. Then I realized I should just order a complete set of spare parts, but for now, I would rather spend that money on ammo.

Finally, I've given up.

I don't have the spare money to stock a complete set of spare parts, so I was thinking maybe we could have a 'pay it forward' type small parts exchange.

I'll start it out by requesting a buffer retainer.

I have a spare extractor spring that I can part with if anybody wants it.

There was a thread here recently(cant find it now) that said you could call Del-ton and they could ship small parts for a small fee ($1 maybe). You could try giving them a call..

Got one! Somebody imed me.

Thanks though, I'm sure I'll need a small part or 2 soon. I'm trying to decide between getting one of Bushmaster's kits, or else Adco sells LPK without the trigger/hammer so they're a little cheaper....

Here is a good site for finding individual small parts:

www.amherst-depot.com/Gunparts.AR15.htm

I've used them before they're gtg.
