I haven't gotten my Samson 7" rail yet (MRFS-C) but I need to know ahead of time if installation requires cutting/removing the handguard cap off my barrel assembly??

(seems like it would rattle around if left on with a FF handguard)

I can't seem to tell by looking at online install instructions for that or the troy type thats similar.

Anyone?

The front handguard cap stays on & will not wobble. To check, just remove your handguards & try it.

I usually remove the front cap on my own builds.  I like better air flow in my ARs but I'm not sure if it really helps but in theory, it should.

When removing the end cap, can you do it WECSOG/Dremel style, or do you need to remove the FSB?

Is this the only reason you remove the front cap?

Do these handguards actually rest on the front cap?  (wouldnt really be free floating then)
