I am installing the Ergo grip with palm rest on my AR. I have noticed that the pistol grip hole lines up perfectly but the selector spring hole does not line up.

Is that a flaw on behalf of the manufacturer or should I just re-drill the hole to make it work? It bothers me that I would have to do it but, I am not that upset that I would need to do it. Secondarily, if I drill another hole for the spring, should I fill the origional? if so, what what?

Thanks in advance for your help. I'll post pics of my build soon.

Here are my specs:
Stag lower with Stag LPK
6 position stock
A2 Bushmaster complete upper 16" (Crome lined / carry handle)

Well you shouldn't have to re-drill the selector spring hole. You could re-drill (I would use a Dremel tool) but I might consider sending it back to Ergo. If you re-drill you shouldn't have to worry about filling in the old hole, but some epoxy would do the job. Out of curiosity, how far off is the mismatch? I've seen noles not drilled deeply enough, but never had a mismatch!

BTW - welcome to the Board!

Every Ergo I've put on fit just fine.  I would contact the vendor or Falcon directly.

I have the regular Ergo and love it. Could be a little wider though. All my holes lined up. Let us know your thought on it when you get it on.

The hole is off by approximately 1/8". When I initially started to install the grip, I first fitted the grip onto the lower reciever without the pistol grip screw. It appeared to fit very good against the back of the trigger guard. I did notice that the hole for the pistol grip was slightly off also. I was not too concerned at this point.

I then attempted to assemble the spring and the grip without the pistol grip screw. Seemed to fit alright with no binding of the spring. When I attempt to screw in the pistol grip screw, it moves the whole grip to the rear approximately 1/8". I accidently squashed one spring doing this without realizeing that it did that.

Would there be a problem to elongate the hole for the pistol grip? Send it back?

I'd send it back to Falcon.  Call them - the Falcon people are VERY nice.  They fixed my problem (no gapper and plug in my grip kit) right away, even though I didn't buy it directly from them.

Thanks for the input. I'll call them tomorrow and then I'll buy another spring.
