[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Ejection Cover

Can the ejection cover assembly be added at anytime. I ordered an upper that may not come with it. It is a oly t12 upper just thought I would add it when I get it. If it has to be done before the barrell assembly is on I would contact him.

You can add it at any time whether or not the barrel is installed.

I can't be sure 100% but I thought the long pin/rod holding the door and spring would hit the delta ring assembly. I install them before barreling but for some reason I am thinking it won't go in after the fact. Someone else care to be the deciding factor here?

It will definitely go on with the barrel installed, as that is how we did them in armorer's school. The rod slides in from the rear, and it's just a little tricky getting it past the brass deflector.

I guees it would work if you removed the small retaining clip. I hate installing those springs as its hard to get them twisted just right!

That's really the only problem when installing the cover w/the barrel on. You have to get that teeny c clip on

I use a really small needle nose plier to hold it, and one of those eyeglasses screwdrivers to push the thing over the rod----and I always keep 4 or 5 extra c clips in the parts box in case the durn thing drops to the floor. If it does, it's 99% unfindable
