The thread- FAQ: The Big Thread On FF & Railed Forends- under the link Stickman provided should give you enough info to keep you busy for a while.

I have a FIRSH on an upper I recently purchased from the EE. I have no other experience with other types of railed handguards, but these certainly seem well made, but to the point Stickman noted, it is wide. This might be a moot point with a forward grip, but something to note anyway.

Thanks Stick, I didn't realize we had that forum!

Read that sticky, not too much info but enough. I've seen these at gunshows a few times, and they did look nice.

Only thing I didn't read(well it was an 8 page sticky so I could've missed it) was if they sit level with the flattop upper.

A way too often overlooked rail system option for those budget minded people.

It doesn't have enough snob appeal for name oriented people....

i like yhm,MI,and the cheaper rails.the only way i may spend the xtra money is to get the VLTOR CASV-EL Forend $285-295. to go with the vltor stock on the ass end of the rifle.
