[ARCHIVED THREAD] - 1st build

I'm new to the forum. Friend of mine sent me here. Lots of great info. I'm starting a build with a 14.5" M4 barrel with a Phantom 2 perm attached FH by Bushmaster. I have a heavy barrel Bushmaster I just had the upper changed out to an A-3. Been real happy with it so I thought I'd stick with Bushmaster. I can see any question I might have I can find the answer to in here. I have access to all the tools I need so that will be a big help. I'll be looking for ideas as to where I want to take it from here. Any ideas are welcome. Thanks

When you buy your upper receiver, make sure it does not have feedramp/ M4 extensions asBushie doesn't use the enhanced feedramp.

Thanks for the info on the reciever. I had no idea about the feed ramps. I'll probably stay with Bushmaster parts so I know everything will match up. Friend of mine keeps leading me to DPMS but something keeps telling me to stay with Bushmaster.
