Bad idea? No forward assist or dust cover.....I dont see a lot of use for either for my purposes. They are cheap, thinking of getting one.

Those lo-pro uppers have more meat on them. they are much thicker than standard flat-top uppers.

the rail seemed higher than the A3.  didnt want to have the same issues as the LR308, so i got the A3.  you can find them for $99.

Here's a pic of the boring side.  I've yet to have a failure that would have been fixable with the forward assist.

Believe it or not the brass hits close to the same spot as if there was a deflector there. and I dont make it a habit of putting my AR in the dirt or sand so the dust cover dont mean much. and i have my theories about the FA.

I order a RRA lower and uppper receiver before I even discovered these Lopro receiver. I kind of wish I had oreder one of these myself. Note to die-tryin, that is a great camo job you got there, on of the best I've seen thus far.

The early lo-pro recievers were out of spec as far as rail height. The new ones are fine. Personally I'd just buy a CMT from one of the fine board sponsors though. I kinda feel like DPMS is to Ar's what Tapco is to Ak's.

here is my low pro, I decided to get it. It is pretty beefy, lots of thick aluminum on the reciever walls

I noticed a note on DPMS' website that says the rail height is different? Has anyone found this to be true/a problem with getting sights to align?

I have been able to co-witness mine using diff. rear flip ups and Eotechs with standard FSB. I havent had any issues. Mine id the Lo-Pro. They do have the Hi-Rise one which IMO, is a waste. If ya needed a higher site mount jus get raised rings or mounts.
