I am looking for any pics of a M4-clone (16in.) or just a 16in. CAR with 9in. handguards. If no one has pics maybe somebody can tell me how long M4, CAR, and standard handguards are.  I am trying to get some ideas together for my new build with my 9in. Larue Tactical Hanguard.

Ok, let me clear up what I am trying to do. I have a brand new Larue Tactical Free float 4 rail handguard that is 9in. long. I want to build an M4 clone. My concern is that the handguard will be to long and i'll have to use a low profile gas block, which I do not want to do.

If you use a carbine legnth gas system, then yes, the rail will be too long.  If you use a midlength gas system, you will be fine with a standard front sight. Remember that your barrel must be a midlegnth barrel to use a midlegnth gas tube.
