Have a "post-ban" AR.  Want to get the barrel threaded, but don't know where to send it, or should I do it myself.

Can most gunsmiths do this? What is a reasonable price to pay? Would it be cheaper to have it done, or do it myself?

it would require a lot of work to do it yourself. the barrel has to be turned down and then threaded.

send it to adcofirearms.com

Thanks. I found out Wilson Combat does it as well, for a little cheaper.

Big +1...

This isn't an operation that is simply done with a hand tap...

I had a post also...I sent it to my gunsmith and all said and done it was about the same if you send it away with shipping costs to do through the gunsmith.
