This is my first attempt at building an AR-15. I ordered the 16" CAR kit from M-AParts. Great product. Product is nice and delivery was fast. I ordered the stripped Lower Receiver from EagleFirearms.net. I got a Rock River. All in all the build was fairly simple, except for the pin that goes on the front of the receiver. It really is hard to do without the tool, but I got it in finally. I only have one 30 round mag right now, but am looking to get some 20 rounders soon. I colored in all the lettering too. I will try to attach pics so you can see. | Well Happy Thanksgiving to me! I took my AR to the range today. Got everything all set up, target, spotting scope, etc. Load her up, pull the trigger..........and click! No BANG! Well tried this a couple of times with the same result. Looked at the cartridge and seen where the firing pin had hit the primer, so I'm wondering WTH. Well I decided to take it home and make sure I got everything put together right. So, after looking at the pictures again for the hammer spring, it didn't look like mine. So needless to say I didn't have it in right. I guess thats why my trigger pull felt so light when I had it in upside down or backwards, whatever, just not the right way. Now that I have it in right, I can definitly tell the difference in the pull and how much more the hammer feels against the firing pin. I guess thats why I don't get paid to do this stuff! Anyway, its too late to go back, so maybe tomorrow I'll give it another shot! Hopefully it will work this time. |
