In my case a Magpul M93A2. I had assumed that it would be straight forward even without directions. I certainly managed to make an ass of myself. Now, anyone know how to do this? Is there a secret like the right combination of curses? Steve |

OK, I know it is against the rules men live by, but get the instructions... I thought the same way you did and finally decided to get the instructions and it went much better after that. You basically have to twist the buffer tube one way, slide half of the tab in, then slide the other half in. Finish is off by twisting the buffer back and securing the screws, IIRC. steve- the book i have is the exact same as the link posted above this one. i was gonna mail it to you today but it will be quicker for you and save me postage if you just print the book above. btw, the shims are the key, i actually had to find the closest one and then sand a little bit to make it perfect. also don't be afraid to use a hammer on the second locking key to get it in place, it will be a tight fit. |
| THe shims are key, on mine none of the shims fit, so I took the shim that was a little too thick and rubbed on some emery paper I stuck to a flat table top. Sand, test, sand, test etc. till it was close, (the bottom went to a little past 5:00 o'clock hand tight) then assemble and crank that baby down by sticking a allen wrench through the hole. I really like custom fit, it was just a lot of work to get there. Why not just include more shims? |
