I have 2 uppers and 1 lower assy. I'm looking to make a lower assy or would it be easier to buy one? Cost of building it verses buying it? When do you register the lower or do you registered when you buy it? thanks hinking.gif |
| I don't think any fire arms are registered unless you but it in New york city or detriot. So they arn't registered. You do fillo out something called a 1173 form I think thats what it is. You but a lower reciver at a gun store. Depending where you get it it will range from 90-200 dollars depending on brand. It would be easyer to buy one already made but thats not fun. A parts kit will cost around 59-70$ for standard parts then you will need a stock, spring, buffer, and stock tube. |
![]() Rifles are not registered in Detroit, handguns in Michigan get a safety inspection (defacto registration), but there is no rifle registration. When you purchase a lower, you fill out a form 4473, just like tou are buying a complete rifle. |
