I got my A2 barreled upper in last week, and was fiddling around and noticed that the rear sight base was twisted a little to the left. When I straighten it out, it's under spring pressure and moves back.

I was thinking about maybe putting a shim between the front of the base and the carry handle to straighten it, but then I also might be getting a little carried away.

It's maybe 1mm out of true, and I bet it's not a problem, but I was wondering if this is normal?

Thanx,

Mark

Normal, although IIRC, White Oak can fix that for ya.

Normal.

Both my A2's, my brother's A2, and my A3 carry handle do it to an extent.

No, as you adjust the rear sight up, it appears to stay the same distance from the back of the carry handle (about 1mm I guess)
