Anyone know how tight the barrel nut has to be when installing a Larue tactical handguard? Hand tighten or to 30-50\inch\lbs? |

30 ft-lbs minimum, and then tighten to align the next hole, If you need to exceed 80lbs, you need to be careful so you don't break the receiver. I make barrel nut indexing shims that greatly improve this task, allowing you to choose what torque value you want the nut to align at simply by adding shims. www.ar15barrels.com/data/barrel-nut-index.pdf Randall |
