I'm going to be painting my next AR build desert tan.  I'm going to use Norrell's as usual, but what I wanted to know is, do you coat the inside of your upper/lower receivers or just the outside?  Last time I only did the outside.  This is the first time I'm doing a non-black finish on any of my firearms.  Will it hurt anything to coat the inside of a receiver?  Since Norrell's is so thin I wouldn't think so but I just wanted to check.  Thanks.  MJD

its completely stripped then just paint away.  You will want to clean out the pin holes and such because it will be tight when you go to put them in.  I would not make it a point to spray inside but it does not hurt if it gets inside.  Just make sure you clean the inside very well after paint.

Yes, the receivers are/will be completely stripped, no LPK's and not even a port door or forward assist.  I never had a problem with Norrell's bridging pin holes, but I'm sure it would if I put it on too thick.  I guess I just didn't want 2-tone receivers, tan on the outside and black on the inside.  MJD

It wont hurt a thing to coat the inside. Just dont go real thick and youll be fine.
