Look around, hit the EE, walk the gun shows, and talk to friends. I picked up this upper in exchange for doing some weapon work. The guy had no interest in keeping an old school upper, even though it was hardly used. Keep in mind it may be easier and cheaper to trade equipment, tools or time. Total cost to me if you don't count my time was about $5-8 worth of refinishing supplies, a gas tube pin, and a flash sup.
