Bought a used m4 socom barrel, the "milled" m203 sections are to small to let me attatch my 203 (older one). I want to mill the slots larger, was wondering if cold  / quick blue solution will be ok to coat new metal area, barrel was used, don't want to spend $ to get it re-parked...

Depends on how fussy you are, and on the current park job.

A cold blue should give you a decent, though not too durable finish.  However, it may – or may not - be a noticeable mismatch with the texture and/or color of the park finish.

Thanks, I don't are about looks / matching, the area is under the HG anyway, just need the metal to be protected from rusting  -
