Unless you have measured the ID of it how do ya know it's "outta-spec"?

Some uppers are quite tight on the bolt carrier until you have run a few hundred rounds through them.

I understand that but I really think this is TOO tight even for a new upper. I may jus toss it.



I've had a similiar problem and all I did was swap out the cam pin on the BC assy and that fixed the tightness.  It was still a tad tight, but not binding tight.  You may be tossing the wrong part.

That's a good idea.  Try dropping the B/C in without the bolt, cam pin, etc.  Isolate the tightness.

Hmm. Welp I jus tried one my Complete Bolts that has about 1000rds on it. I didnt take it apart and it fit fine. WTH? The other bolts I was trying are NEW or have less then 100rds on them. Now im torn. lol.
