I'd like to swap out the Colt A2 upper I have on my 6520 with a A1/C7 upper. The barrel has the M4 extention and the A2 upper has true M4 cuts. The A1 upper has dremeled feedramp cuts for the standard barrel extention. Will I run into a feeding/reliability option by switching out these uppers? I prefer the A1 sights and unfortunately haven't been able to find any Colt M4 cut A1/C7 uppers.

It depends.

Does the new barrel have M4 cute in it?  If it doesnt you are more likely to have problems
What is the dremel job like on the A1?  If its a bad job you are more likely to have problems.

Its better to have a M4 cut barrel and a standard receiver then the other way around.

Pictures of both would help.

You wont really know until you put them together and try it out.

Barrel is Colt 6520 with M4 barrel extention. The A1 receiver had feedramps cut by CMMG. Upper arrives from Colt tomorrow so I should be able to compare the feedramp cuts.
