$415? are these the sarco used  and abused ? I just finished my G3 and am in need of a project. Never heard of an xm177, care to elaborate?

Where? I've only seen them from Guns n stuff .net. (FAC) Are they assembled? FACs are totaly un-assembled.

Seems they are brand new DPMS parts kits (minus the lower of course) but completely disassembled.  Sounds like a good deal especially on the 16" kits.

The XM177 was the original "Shorty" that was fielded by Colt- 11.5" barrel with a long flash hider.

Yeah, for the XM177, you'll need to silver solder the flash hider gizmo to make it compliant.

I can't wait to get mine. I ordered a 16" heavy barrel w/ a collapsable stock for
$415.00 + shipping. All I have to do is pick up a stripped lower receiver this weekend at the Houston gun show and then wait for the kit to arrive. I'l have a complete DPMS AR-15 for less than $600. You can't beat that with a stick!!!! These guys have some GREAT deals going right now... Go check it out...

If you're a team member, it tags the post so it shows up in "my active topics".

While I have not purchased a kit from them, I have purchased a carbine upper.  Also, I have purchased 4 lower receivers, 3 LOWER parts kits, and numerous other parts.  All have been completely satisfactory.  The lower receiver, btw, is excellent.  All machining and hole drilling is perfect.  The finish on upper and lower is anodized, then black teflon over that, for a flat black perfectly even finish, none better in my opinion.

Yes, DPMS Kits are just fine.
And $415.00 is a good price, I am a Registered Dealer with them, and I can't get them that cheap.

Unless you are a " Master Dealer " with them ( Minimum order of $4500.00 ) and then they are $409.00 for the 16".

Just picked up a complete DPMS carbine lower (w/6 pos telestock), to mate to my CMT/BM upper. Very happy with it thus far. The finish matches great. Can't tell you how it performs, since it is a "build in progress", but once it's complete, I'll post a RR.
