I want to know in this picture on model 1 sales how is that bipod attached becuase im gonna buy it and then get a bipod from wallmart that attachs to the swivel stud. When ordering it from them would i have to go under ''CHOOSE FURNITURE & SWIVEL'' and get the swivel stud or does it come with it or is the bipod attached some other way. Would the stud be the one that attachs to the gas block? How does that work. This is what im looking at to see my confusion. Im guessing the stud would be attached on the bottom of the hand guard. Is it a normal stud or do i need to buy there 10 dollar one.

Ok, I'm assuming you are referring to the varmint outfits in the front of their catalog.  I am on dial-up and do not want to take the time to open another browser to examine the link you provided.  Sorry.

I was told you need to drill a hole in your free float tube to install the swivel stud.  I believe it is simply a short stud with a nut and lockwasher to secure it to the tube.

If you are using traditional handguards you can buy studs that mount through the ventilation holes on the handguard.  The nice thing about this is the handguards are easily removable, so it should be much easier to install.

If you are using a FF tube I strongly advise against mounting a bipod to your gas block or FSB.  This would put pressure on your barrel and completely negate the advantage the free float tube gives you in isolating your barrel from pressure, which can change its point of impact significantly, as well as mess up your accuracy.

Yes, that is the one he is referring to. I am going to have to do the same thing on my DPMS free float tube.

I don't remember what brand it cost around 39 dollars it goes on the stud. Like a harris has the springs on the bipod legs and stuff.
