I have a recently purchased RRA lower that came with the RRA 6 position stock and the locking nut is tighter than I have ever seen.  I am using a stock removal wrench and still no luck.  I really do not want to apply heat, but may have to if I cannot get it to move.

Any suggestions.  I have already soaked it with Kroil, still no luck.

Thanks,

put your lower in a vice with a block and hit a tightening ring recess with a srewdriver and hammer counterclockwise

Heat it up with a torch, not too hot, just enough to remove the nut.  Many of us use lock-tite when installing them to prevent working loose.

Is it pinned on?

It is not pinned on, the locking nut is just on tight.  My gun shop said they think RRA is using
locktite.  My experience with Locktite is it is not this hard to remove.

My next step is to apply heat.  I really do not want to do that.

Is the lock ring staked on?

ETA:  Maybe call Rock River for sure on the LocTite, just in case.  Then you'll have a better idea of what you're working against.
