| I have stripped receiver that I cannot decide on what configuration I would like to go with. I would like to get a running list of the various options out there, so any suggestions are welcomed. I have already built an AR using the A3 flattop and 16" M4 bbl. and I already have a 20" Bushmaster. Let her rip. NFA excluded. |

It's all personal opinion. Grow some cajones and make a decision for yourself. It's your AR. Build whatever it is you want! *RANT ON* Sorry if this offends anyone, but I am tired of these dang threads saying, "What should I build?" I have pieced together four ARs in my last two years in which I have dealt with ARs. Never once did I ask people what I wanted. If I ever wanted to get an idea, you know what I did? I went and looked at the ARFCOM pic thread. There are tons of great pics and people willing to answer any questions from their pics that you might have. There is also a search button.  *RANT OFF* |

Hey Bro, Thats a friend and a MD Brother so....... If this question makes you tired don't respond  Colesteel I thought about an SBR but you loose to much juice after 100 yds. and 6 months of waiting. I'm going to do 2-tac. carbs. for my sons with M4A1 barrels, sampson rails and m4 stock. My other lower I think I'm going to do a range queen with 20" or 24" bull. some type of FF rail and maybe a plain A2 stock. ....wish I had the money to build then all right now.... ...did I say that out load....

All right, let me restate what I said earlier, so that I don't sound so rantish with a vein sticking out of my forehead... If I ever want ideas, I just go look through the ARFCOM picture thread. In there, there are many different configurations that can give you any multitude of ideas. Hope this helps! Good luck! Did I do better this time? |

I have thought about pistol calibers. Is there a .45 ACP upper? I have also contemplated a 9mm carbine as well. In addition, I have also pondered the idea of an AR pistol, but I am not sure of the legality of said firearm in my state. And for the anal retentive of the bunch, my apologies, but I had not thought of the photo thread. Thanks Bronze |
