I just ordered an Ace standard length stock. Will be installing on one of my RRA's. I assume it will slip over the standard buffer tube. Can anyone tell me how much it weighs and will it be a lot heaver than the standard A2 stock? Thanks, 77Bronc |
It is actually lighter than an A2 according to the ACE website: "The AR15 Skeleton Stock - ARFX. The ARFX is 3.6 oz lighter than the A2 stock, while still retaining high strength and durability. A closed-cell foam "overtube" provides a super comfortable cheek weld, and it insulates the shooter's face from vibration and temperature extremes. The ARFX also sports three sling positions: right and left behind the receiver and one at the toe of the butt. Uses a standard A1/A2 receiver extension tube, buffer and spring ( not included ). Includes .5" thick rubber "over-mold" recoil pad. Can be installed on " Post Ban" rifles. Over all length 9.8". L.O.P.= 13.0" ( without recoil pad ). Weight: 296g ( 10.9 oz)" |
