I just got a mega lower after looking for one for a month! I'm really impressed with the quality of machine work.  Im thinkind of buying the parts to build the lower at a gun show this weekend, but I know a guy there will be selling Mega marked uppers. I really like my lower, and I like the idea of a matching upper. This is my first build, and I had intended to buy a complete upper . For my first build should I concider building my upper or haveing somebody local do it for me?   Should I buy the Mega upper and build on it or should I buy lower stuff and order a complete upper later? Thanks for any advice or opinons!!!! Fistybum

I have a Mega upper for my Mega lower and it is excellent.  I've never seen any other receivers fit together so well.  The takedown and pivot pins slide in and out without having to hammer on them yet there is no wiggle between the receivers.  IOW, perfect.

Get the Mega Upper, and build it your self, you will be glad you did.

Im looking at a complete stainless mid lenght fromRRA for $450, and Im afraid if I buy the Mega upper Im going to buy the Dennys guns 16' recon barrel, and end up with more than twice the $s into it.  Which way do you guys think I should go? Any other options you can think of? I kind of have a thing for stainless. Is this a good option for my first build?h.gif
