Some people don't like them, but Model 1 Sales has a Young Manufacturing Hider/Brake for .701 and .731 Dia. post-ban Barrels, Held on by 4 set screws.

I am also thinking of the set screw type...

What are some of the complaints?

You can get the barrel threaded fo 50-60$ if you send it to ADCO

Maybe after coyote hunting calms down, I can send it out when I am turkey hunting

You'll likely pay nearly that much for some type of setscrew FH/muzzle brake, so having ADCO thread your barrel makes alot of sense, to me, anyway.

That's what I would do , but if you don't want to do that , the one from M1S is only $30.00,
it's up to you.

I think I have a set screw one laying around at home.  If you want it, it's yours (if I can find it).  Let me know.  First IM gets it.

Theading the barrel does make more sense in most cases.  If you live in a AWB state your kinda limited though.  In CT, their AWB mirrors the now dead Federal Ban.

Got it Lazar.  I'll try to get it in the mail this weekend.

Ghost, I didn't like the way it looked on the barrel.  It was loud too (muzzle break)!  Accuracy didn't seem to effected but My Carbines don't shoot like my PSS so I don't think any of my AR's are "accurate".

I'd still thread it and have a Cav Comp or Wilson Combat comp permanently attached, rather than having a setscrew type comp/FH attached.  YMMV.
