| Im looking to get a jig for my 80% lower and wanted to get an idea about which one to get. Ive seen the Baxter jig, the CNC Gun jig, and the Tannery jig. It seems the Tannery jig is out of the question, its 3X the cost of the rest. Can anyone comment on the quality and ease of use between the 3? Are there any other options that Ive missed? I have access to a large machining shop with lathes, milling , drill presses, etc. so Im looking to save $$ on the finishing tools. Also, are the 80% lowers from the different places have all about the same internal dimensions? I sent an email to ar15plus and he said his lowers take the "smallest parts sets" I assume he means only ar-15 parts will fit. |

STAY AWAY FROM FLORIDA GUN WORKS!!!!!!!!! I can't say that enough. A year ago I tried to order some stuff through them before I got involved with this site. Three months later still no product. They are criminals. Do a search for Florida Gun works and see the mayhem that ensues. I personally have used CNC's jig and it worked flawlessly. Can't beat the price. My only real complaint with it is that there is no plate on the back like the Baxter to tap the buffer. You don't need the plate to help the tap, its just a secuirty blanket . The choice of which one is up to you. By the way STAY AWAY FROM FLORIDA GUN WORKS!!!! |
