I am told that blasting is the only way.  The Norrell's instructions say it will survive 24 hour immersion in the following:

commonn fuels, gun solvents, oil, paint remover, nitric, sulphuric and hydrochloric acid, ammonium and sodium hydroxide and numerous other strong chemicals.

Only if it hasn't been baked yet.
Standard rubbing alcohal immersion and a soft tooth brush will take it off.
Just dry it when done and oil it up so the anodizing will return to normal color.
Otherwise blast and anodize.
