okay so I'm a definite newb on the ar scene.  I just orded a new upper reciever from rock river and I found a complete lower from dpms but not sure of how the fit will be.  Anyone know if these 2 will fit tightly together or if any problems may arise.  And another thing, doesnt 295 dollars for a complete lower with a2 stock seem kinda high in price.

Thanks for the input.

$295 for a complete DPMS lower with an A2 stock is a rip off. I bought a stripped Ameetec lower, RRA lower parts set, RRA M4 stock and a Hogue grip for a total of $227.

i guess certain dealers are trying to price gouge lowers.  I also seen some guy at a different table selling a stripped dpms lower for $175.

A stripped lower for $175 is also a rip off, maybe $175 if the lower parts were installed, but not stripped.

To give you an idea, here are some prices on DPMS lowers from CMMG.

well the reciever i got, with complete internals and A2 buttstock, goes for 239 bucks, plus 25 for shipping and what 20/25 for transfer fees from you ffl dealer, or mine at least, so your looking at 285/290.  So I guess the 295 he wanted originally wasn't that much of a price increase.  Especially when you don't have to wait for it to be shipped if that is the case.

Yeah, but my point was that $295 is not a good price at all. I wasn't recommending buying it from CMMG, I was just showing you what a normal price was. I would find a more reasonable priced lower locally so you don't have to pay the transfer fee and shipping.

I just finished a build using a DPMS stripped lower and a RRA upper.  Fit was great, finish match looks as close as a factory rifle.  If you want to see first-hand, check this post:

I built an M4gery server months ago using a DPMS lower and RRA A4 upper.
the fit was tighter than my Bushmaster I purchased complete.
