What I need is a FH or comp/break(that looks like an A2)  that is  long enough to extend a 14.5" barrel to 16".  Preferably a break/Comp because I live in the communist republic of california and technically cant have a FH on a gun.

Oh and also, peel and crush washers.  Whats the difference and does it matter which one I use with a perm attachment?

Any suggestions are appreciated.

You have our sincerest condolences. Nobody should have to live under conditions like that.

Check out the Izzy brake from Bushmaster. While it doesn't look exactly like an A2 flash hider it will work and you won't have any problems with the gun nazi's in the PRK. there's also an extended A2 style FH that might also work but I can't remember where I saw it. Some of the other guys might know. Good luck.

I was just looking at the Izzy break and it looks good.  But, has anyone used one of these?  My main concern is of course noise.

Found the lengthened comp that looks like an A2 FH and turns a 14.5" barrel into 16".

Check out Kurts Custom Firearms in the Industry Forum.

Here's a link to the page it's on.

Thanks Cannon_Guy! Appreciate the help.  That looks more appealing than the Izzy and being that the Izzy is not in stock right now, that will probably be my choice.

First of all, it's called a muzzle "brake" not break.  You know, like the break pedal in your car.

I also recommend the Kurt's Kustom A2 flash hider.  In CA, unlike some rifles (non-FN made FALs for instance) that are regulated by evil features, all "AR-15 series" are treated the same.  If you now legally own any AR in CA, it's legal for you to put a flash hider on it.
