I took apart my Armalite [fiberglass handgard style]  upper. Piece of cake.
To put it back together, The barrel indexes itself in the upper.
Is there anyway to determine if the feed ramps are in the optimum position? Between the two ramps, at their bottom, this appears to be level or 'square'. Is this a visual confirmation?

Looks like the barrel inserts into the upper, nut tightened +/- 35 ft.lbs, align tube hole and thats it. Is that it?

Its getting a Xmas gift of a better tube - which ever one I can finally decide upon.

The barrel should slip into the little notch in the reciever...thats all there is to it. Tighten up the nut, install the gas tube you are done.

Don't forget to put anti-seize compound on the threads of the barrel nut.

anti-seize

Works just as good, anti-seize mojo is bumpkus intel and will not cause gauling or any other of the rumors stated.
