I have an Armalite T type upper and want to switch my free float tube. I just received my new green one from Armalite and have the gas tube and gas plug off. Now the old free float tube won't unscrew. Do I need to remove the entire barrel for the free float tube swap??? It seems like it should just unscrew and I could screw the new one in. Help please. That cap on the back of the tube that the gas tube goes through is what has to be unscrewed. I've seen one removed and installed a couple months back. Hold the tube and turn the nut with a strap wrench. Check this out Mid to bottom of page, HTH. Danny |
