I'm new to the AR scene. I'm putting together parts for my first build. I just acquired a slabside small pivot hole receiver. Everything looks good, but it appears that the rear pivot hole is a bit elongated..... as I put a dowel rod into the hole it wobbles a bit. The front hole is nice and tight.  Is this something I should worry about? What can I do? How will this affect the receiver? Did I get screwed on the receiver?

Thanks

Assuming you mean the upper receiver, I wouldn't worry about it.

Yea, sorry, it's the upper receiver.

Is there any way to tell the manufacturer. There doesn't appear to be any markings at all on this receiver. Just wondering.........

The rear hole on the upper is purposely made oblong, to compensate for any variations in the dimensions of the pin placement on the lower.  Your upper is "normal"
