ps. A sturdy way to hold the lower may help if you don't have one already.

Counter-clockwise as you're looking at the screw.

It may require making funny looking faces and mumbling obscenities as you turn the screw.

One word for you...DREMEL

It's tight.  You just gotta put your shoulder in it.  Sometimes a heatgun helps.

I will try to put some heat on it, but would the Dremel be easier?  I have hundreds of those tools for it.

The nut where the buttstock and the lower combine.

If you're removing a fake telestock, check the nut to make sure that it wasn't spot welded or staked.

I am removing the fake telestock for the real deal.  Still no luck, Dremel is looking much better option now.

Edit to say:  Doesnt appear to have any type of weld on it.

That consists of three parts.....  the takedown pin, the detent, and the spring.  It is pretty self explanatory.  Put the pin in with the groove facing the detent hole.  Slip the detent in the hole, and then the spring.  Then, when you install the new stock, the cabine plate will put pressure against the spring and detent, and keep the takedown pin working correctly.
