Wondering if i should go with a heavy barrel on my carbine build.

I have a tendency to heat things up during shooting drills.  For instance, when i do combat handgun drills, 50 rounds in 20 seconds isn't unheared of.

How much more does it actually weigh?

Does model 1 sales make good barrels, i was told they were wilson blanks.  $170 for a chrome lined threaded heavy barrel seems like a good deal.

i like the HBAR for rapid fire--a little less flip, and the weight feels good to me

h/w lots here prefer the lighter lightweights or m-4 bbls as they are like almost one lb lighter

i have heard lots of negative stuff about m1s; most recommend m&a or JTD for better stuff and CS

I ran 550 rds through my M1S CAR kit this weekend . My shooting buddy , with his Colt 20" , was impressed with it . Accuracy was good with 2" groups at 100 yards .
