Hey all - I am looking round - trying to decide if I really want to take on another project. (Want headaches?  try and find someone to do a benchrest quality job on a Ruger head.gif)

Looking to sell my paintball gear and then it will be new project time - an AR might be the way to go for me I think.

I am worried a bit as  I would like to do the build myself and want to make sure its done right and all teh pieces go together. I would think the way to do this is to buy all my parts form one mfg - but any tips?

Want to put together a CQB weapon first - want it to fall into a pre-ban config - future may just include a can from Jet.

If all goes well I may then go to more of a med range SWS and a knock around carbine/varmint blaster.

Thanks for the help

Except for a few Colt pieces, most AR parts are interchangable with other brands, and are often manufactured for the different brands by the same contractors.
As for BIY, its easy;ar15.com/content/guides/assembly/lower/

Thanks - I was thinking they would be but you never know. The 1911 is the same way and "drop in fit" is never the case.
