I think you should have taken the LAR A2 CAR upper home with you and camo'ed the black parts. The paint would be dry by the weekend...load ammunition and fire. MT It took him about ......tic tic tic .....that long to put together the lower. For any of you that haven't started building your own...do it soon. |

Rooster, Nice...those Blems are a great deal and the fine folks at LAR Manufacturing are great to deal with. Do you have a barrel and handguard picked out...? Are you going to give it a color or stay black? Brent is a Paint Wizard...so I am assuming he is going to give it a custom spray after he finishes the Upper. MT |

i have a Hyperform handguard i bought off the EE, not decided 100% on barrel yet but im leaning towards a RRA 20" varmint barrel. Ive thought about doing a olive drab camo paint on the completed gun using Lauer camo templates and spray paint...but i dunno if ill be brave enough to try. *edit* yea Dave at LAR was/is a super nice person,very helpful too. He accidently sent me 2 LAR A2 blemished uppers when i ordered A3's. Called him the day i recieved the A2's and he mailed the A3's out that day before i even got around to mailing the A2s back too him. Also threw in a cool LAR Grizzly T-shirt. |
