I just purchased a Bushmaster Barrel Assembly / V Match Handguard, but am a bit perplexed. The handguard screws directly onto the upper receiver, but I don't see any way to get the barrel wrench onto the float tube to tighten it. Any idea's? This is my first build. It looks good though! |
+1 Put a piece of leather underneath where the metal part leverages against the FF tube though or you might mar the neat checkering on your HG. I did [>(] Didn't plan on re-using or selling it anyway, at least that's what I'll keep tellling myself. ![]() BTW: I have seen a spanner wrench that looked like it would clear the receiver bottom or top and would be able to access the gas tube/wrench pin holes from behind. |

No need to mar anything. Just get these, made of rubber, the right tool for the job.... $4! www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=40198 www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Displayitem.taf?itemnumber=46392 ![]() |
