I bought a Phantom and put it on my threaded rifle barrel using a crescent wrench and cranked down as hard as I could. I did use a crush washer. My question is do I need to Torgue to a certain point or does the crescent wrench do it?

As long as it is snug, and you are happy with how it looks, you are good to go. There is a specific torque setting, but dont worry about that. Just check it often to make sure it is not loosengin as you shoot, and it will be fine.
