How long has it been since you placed the order? |

Just another vote to say the company does NOT havea good rep. I never actually made it to the point of pruchasing anything from them. Despite a web-catalog that seems to include everything under the sun, I couldn't actually establish on the phone -- once I GOT someone on the phone -- that they actually had anything in stock or available. Call your credit card company. |
| DONT USE FLORIDA GUN WORKS!!!! it is now the 6th and nothing shipped, I called the phone number for there website and it is a so called wrong number. my Emails have not been replied to over the last two days. I guess i need to contact my credit card company to try to get my 540.00 back! |
FYI, 8153 SW 153rd Court MIAMI, FL 33193 is the address to a residence. The P.O. box that they list on their site is located in a local shopping center which means that they don't stock anything. When you order from them that have to order from someone else. That is why they take so long. |
| Ordered a Colt lower from them a year ago. Terrible experience. Kept telling me that it was sent, that they had just come back from vacation, etc. Worst of all is that I sent them a M.O. and when I asked for my money back they kept saying it was shipped. Waited over three months before I received it, and then had to wait because they didn’t send a FFL with it. Cancel it through your credit card if possible. Good luck. |
| I had trouble with them, probaly two years ago. Bells and whistles should of gone off when I noticed they did not have a phone #. I tryed to order a L1A1 parts kit that they did not have. They told me that they could back order it for me. That is not the type of thing that any one back orders . They have it or they do not. I told him to for get it. Of course this was over a period of 6 weeks. When I posted my experance on the FAL-Files Forum I was informed that Florida Gun Works was one person who was thrown out of the forums for bad behavor. About thirty people posted to tell there bad experances with him and his company, no one had any thing good to say about him. FGW has one hell of a cool web sight to bad they do not have service or an inventory to go along with it. |

Latest reply from FGW!! Order was placed on 09/22/2004!! "from FGW" Do what you feel you need to. Your order was shipped and you will feel like an idiot once you receive it this week. PLEASE NOTE: If we get a chargeback from your credit card company, and you have our product in your possession, we will contact your local law enforcement officials and file against you for credit card fraud and theft of product. Remember to mention in your letter to the Florida Attorney's office that it states in our TERMS AND CONDITIONS as well as your ORDER CONFIRMATION EMAIL that orders can take up to 3 weeks to arrive. You must have not read that part before you ordered.....Order elsewhere next time. |
|
Terms and conditions say nothing about it taking 3 weeks for product to arrive it only says that cancled orders after 24 hours are subject to a 20% restocking fee!! shipping policy states from there site are! Orders are processed in the order they are received and can take 5-10 business days to ship, depending on current order volume. Please note our business hours are Tuesday - Friday 11:00AM-6:00PM, we are closed on Mondays. Once the order has shipped it can take 1 to 10 days for the package to reach its destination, depending on location and carrier. If a product is on back order, you will be notified via e-mail and given the option to either be placed on backorder or cancel your order. Here at FGW customer satisfaction is our ultimate goal, if at any time you have questions regarding the status of your order you can e-mail us at [email protected]. my order was sent in on the 22nd of Sept credit card billed on the 27th of Sept order was so called shipped on Oct 7th but the tracking number comes up no information found for shipment! |

The State Bar does not allow me to practice law out of state. And since Florida Gun Works is in Florida... My employer does not allow me to take private clients, so... However, as a consumer, I can comment: They advertised a Desert Eagle (IMI) .44mag for $700 (if I remember correctly). I wanted to avoid a credit card fee, so I bought a money order and sent it to them. They contacted me, and I forget if it was by e-mail or by phone, and informed me that they were out of stock and suggested that I pick a different pistol. I informed them I did not want a different pistol, I wanted the pistol that they advertised for the price that they listed. I used the shotgun approach (no, I don't mean going over there with a shotgun). I found every contact method possible, and coveyed a message that I would settle for nothing less than a full refund. It took a few weeks, but I finally got all my money back. I did not contact the Florida A.G., and could not charge back my card, because I did not use a card. Someone claiming to be a manager of some sort claimed that they had allowed an individual to do the internet part of their business and that that individual was not doing a very good job... Ultimately, I think they will not send your firearm as promised. I think that they will not be successful in persuading a prosecutor's office to file criminal charges against you for getting your money back from a company that did not ship your goods in a timely manner. So, you can trust them, which would be unwarranted, or you can get the money back from your card. |
It sounds like they have piss poor customer service. Even if they did take over two weeks to send it out, clearly they should be able to provide an accurate tracking number of the shipment. Since they haven't done that, one can conclude that they didn't send it out. I would just dispute this charge on the credit card. What will happen is that the credit card company will then temporarily reverse the charge, and then ask Florida gun works to provide proof that the items were sent. They will also look at other complaints of Florida gun works to see if there is a pattern. After no proof is provided, the reversal will be permanant. I wouldn't bother with the attorney general. You haven't received your order. There shouldn't be a problem with your charges being reversed. |
| Florida Gun Works sucks! I bought a Polish underfolder AK kit from them that was supposed to be "excellent" condition. It looked like it had been run over by a truck. Sent it back after getting an return # & it took forever for them to credit my card. They also steal 20% as a restocking fee. That kit will no doubt be sent out to somebody else after being misrepresented. Screw them. I'll never buy from those crooks again. |
| Good to here you got the package. Here's hoping all is in good shape. I had a runin with them at a gun show here on the Florida Gulf Coast. I would not deal with them again. There are alot of great dealers here on the boards to deal with and will take care of ya. Again best of luck to you! |
|
I just opened up my package that arrived yesterday. I can say that all the parts are new as advertised (Iguess I got lucky). Looking back over this order next time I am going to go with a company that is customer friendly. To invest 547.00 for a parts kit and to get the run around from the people you order it from is not worth it!! |
Really? Considering all the bad press this place has and how often different companies like to lie about FN parts I am very leary. Go to this Thread and look at the pictures I posted. Specifically look at the markings. This is what a true FN barrel looks like. If yours does have the same markings then you did get screwed (or at least lied to). Please post back you findings as I am very interested. Please also note what, if any markings\stampings are on the receiver itself. Thanks |
I had a bit of trouble--half of which was UPS's fault--getting what I wanted from M&A (what should have been a four-day deal took the better part of a month) but as you say, once you finally have the thing and it works and it's what you wanted for so long, you can look back and laugh about it. That effing month is a BEE-yotch, though! |
|
There seem to be no markings at all on the upper assembly!! gallery.is12.net/thumbnails.php?album=418 |
Then you got screwed lied to on that front too. A true FN barrel will be marked "FNMI MP 5.56 NATO 1/7" on the top of the barrel, in between the FSB and FH. The FSB should also have a FN stamp in a circle. That said, unless you had your heart set on having an FN barrel I wouldn't worry about it and long as it functions correctly and has decent accuracy. The problem is you won't know that until you shoot it which at that point, may be too late to send back. Also if it's not marked and they obviously don't mind lying, it may not be chrome lined (although you should be able to tell if it is or not) and it may not be the twist rate you where expecting. Personally, I would send it back and dispute the charge with my CC company then order the same things through BM. Might cost you a little more but you will know what you are getting. |

Places like Florida Gun Works are the reason why I only buy from ar15.com dealers. I've heard dozens of stories of these guys screwing people out of their hard earned money and it's a shame that they are still in business (if you can call it that). Good luck bro. |
