Want to thread my barrel and figure if I can remove the front sight, then I can chuck it in may lathe.  Looks like the gas tube cross pin and two pins on the bottom of the front sight assembly need to be removed.   Does it come off easily or is there a special tool needed?  Should I forget it and just take the barrel off.
